Sometimes, inspiration comes from the
designer that you least expect.
To be honest, Gucci has never been a brand
that I have took notice, since the Tom Ford years.
However, Alessandro Michele's vision has created
a vision of Gucci's rich Italian history.
Wretched with Gucci's dismal past,
Alessandro introduced antique accessories
or what he describes as "fake vintage",
androgynous cuts and granny chic knits.
"I don't care about the future. The past is an infinite resource."
Alessandro Michele
The spring summer collection was striking
array of electric greens and shades of
soft pinks interwoven within the show.
Alessandro insight to the past has reawakened
Gucci's influence in impacting the
future of what we wear.
Are you inspired to create different
looks from the past?
