Linda Rodin

Linda Rodin gives us a lesson in minimalism
and the essence that style has no age limit.

The model turned stylist, known for her
beauty line, Rodin, is a truly inspiring women.

Linda has made it acceptable to be comfortable
with who you are and that is what's so fresh.

The biggest beauty tip that she has learnt is that less is more.
"There’s beauty in simplicity.' I like it simple;
I like to get up and go."

There is something different about Linda Rodin's
take on style and beauty.

"I have no idea how to describe my style.
I’m not frilly and I don’t dress to get attention –
I’m not going to walk around in a green hat with a purple coat.
At my age I don’t do sleeveless any more and I wouldn’t wear
a short skirt without black tights.
But otherwise my style is whatever takes my fancy."

It's not forced or over complicated.

Clean and chic lines but focusing on one main detail.

"I love Marni, Burberry Prorsum and Saint Laurent. But not the
outlandish stuff. I’m too little. Preen by Thornton Bregazzi
make great jeans and tees, and I love Acne Studios."

Embrace your inner Linda Rodin.

J.Crew Spring 2016

Jenna Lyons created a quirky, cool and
 sophisticated Spring 2016 presentation

“With J.Crew style, the one common
element is timelessness –
the timelessness of a perfect blazer
or a crisp white shirt –
it is at once familiar and made
 fresh by changing the context,”
 Jenna Lyons

The collection centres around J.Crew
unstructured blazers, jumpsuits,
off-the-shoulder tops, skirts,
 and high-waist trousers.

Colour was a major factor in the line as
models were styled in clashing plaid patterns.

Super styling and design shown by J.Crew.

I am definitely inspired to
clash plaid and colours.

Mixing it with Jenna Lyons

The undeniably inspiring Jenna Lyons is
a fashion muse, known for her unique take on style,
black framed glasses and signature red lip.

Being the President & Creative Director of J.Crew,
she took it from being a catalogue to a successful,
fashion forward, global brand.

Jenna is the queen of street style.
A real fashion photographers dream,
but there is something so fresh about
the way she creates looks.

Tailor & Layer

Think about how to make your look stand out.

I love the way Jenna creates interest
 with layering, different colours and
textures together but keeping it tailored.

Whether it is bright colours,sequins,
faux fur and beaded embellishments,
add depth to your look.

Colour Colour Colour!
A splash of colour will always look chic.
However, be inventive, clash brights or make
your accessories or shoes the pop of colour.

Jenna Lyons has mastered the art of
mixing high-low and producing such personality
in the way she dresses. I truly love her style.

Would you mix up your style
like Jenna Lyon?

Rosie Assoulin SS16

Rosie Assoulin delivered a spectacular collection
with cut outs, oversized and deconstructed design
throughout her SS16 presentation.

An empty swimming pool, against a Keith Maring mural,
was the amazing setting for the candy coloured pieces

Assoulin's designs were super
chic and  contemporary.

The models wore whimsical sculptural earrings
and candy dot detailed hems.

She mixed off the shoulder draped
tops that transitioned into one shoulders.

Beautiful pastels with clashes of bright shades
creating the unexpected.

Rosie Assoulin shows us how to have
fun with fashion, but also create a chic silhouette,
which is definitely high fashion.

Stila Pink

I was inspired by Raf Simons Dior SS16 collection
to buy light and pretty, pink makeup.

This incredible Matte Stay All Day Liquid
Lipstick in Patina is my favourite shade.
It's the perfect pink with a hint of
brown for my lips.

A new purchase is this eyeshadow
in the colour, Eden.Which is amazing
for that barely there makeup look.

Do you have any pink makeup
recommendations?

Chanel Airlines

Karl Lagerfeld shows us the only
way to fly is in style.

Chanel's witty take on airline chic with
super luxurious clothes was a sight to behold.

The jet setting models strutted the runway
with perfectly layered pieces
that looked airport ready.

I loved the way sweaters were nonchalantly
tied around the shoulders and waist,
illustrating street style influences.

Chanel's tweed was sleek, streamlined and
 understated creating a chic elegance
from the more youthful pieces.

Chanel Details

The silver sandals, quirky round shaped bags
and boater hats kept the collection youthful
but were also practical.

Chanel tells a new story every season....

I can't wait for Paris Fashion Week 2016.

Hermes Perfection

Hermes illustrated how to
do luxury in an understated way with
a collection of minimal and sports luxe pieces that
makes me crave every incredible
garment in their SS16 line.

The colour palette was infused with
tennis whites, neutrals and bursts
of bright, electric blues and
the signature Hermes Orange.

The contemporary feel has created a new
lease of life into the brand.
It has a cool vibe that it never
did before.

So remember, throwing a pair of
trainers on with a luxurious dress
has never been so stylish.

Celine Styling

I absolutely love Celine.
It has become a firm favourite of mine as it resonates
with my natural design aesthetic.

Phoebe Philo being the driving force at Celine has redesigned
what women aspire to wear. She took the brand to a new direction,
which has created a big difference on what we see as fashionable.

The clean lines, sleek but modern look is more about style, less
about the latest trend. However, it's much more practical
for a woman on the move.

Everyone in the fashion industry dream of wearing head to toe Celine.
However, not all of us can afford to dress in Celine.

I will show you how to use the key elements
 to styling yourself Celine.

Makeup

Keep your makeup more natural for the Celine look.

1. Use a simple BB cream with a light reflecting highlighter.
2. Keep your eyebrows defined.
3. For a brown lip colour go for a Matte Lipstick.
My favourite is the Mac lipsticks in the shade Whirl.
 4. For a Red Lip colour go for Mac Ruby Woo.
Which is my go to Red lipstick that suits all skin tones.

How to Create the Celine Look

Here are a couple of steps to think about
when styling your look

1. Keep your look simple

Don't over complicate if your wearing black leather
trousers, a white t-shirt, throw an oversized tailored coat
  and add some white trainers.

2. Co-ords or a monochromatic look is chic.

One colour outfit always looks incredible.
I love to create all black, white or red looks.

3. A tailored look is sophisticated.

Tailored trousers are my go to piece.
I always feel smart and put together in them.
I pair trousers with trainers to create the celine style.

Geometric Jewellery

I'm always on the hunt for different jewellery
to create a dynamic Celine style.

I love gold..so geometric gold jewels look
perfect with sleek tailored pieces.

I hope this inspires you to create a
Chic Celine style.

Fashion Books

 I absolutely love fashion books.
They are a major source of inspiration
& the perfect gift to the fashion obsessed

Biographies from incredible fashion designers
to street style photography,
there are endless amounts of books to choose from.
Honestly, I could live in the fashion section of a book store.

My favourite read is Coco Chanel
The Legend & The Life
by Justine Picardie

The story of the incredible women behind the iconic brand,
that is still one of the biggest fashion houses.

I really recommend this book for you
and your friends.

Are you reading any fashion books?
